What are megablock snapshots and how do they work in ZooBC blockchain?

@bzpython explains this to us

Instead of requiring new full node operators to download every block since the genesis, we’ve developed a clever shortcut. We’ve added a secondary blockchain that produces new megablocks at a much longer time interval. These megablocks represent the full blockchain history at a specific point in time. New nodes can sync faster by starting from the most recent snapshot via megablocks and then downloading only the most recent transactions. This will lower the barrier to entry for full nodes which increases decentralization.
