The Zoolanders: What to Keep in Mind When Running the ZooBC Node

Our developers, I Ketut Ariasa and Heriyono Sim, explain what you should keep in mind when you run the ZooBC node.

In this video, we answer:
- Could you elaborate on the ZooBC network?
- What are the key important things that a user needs to keep in mind regarding the ZooBC network?

The Zoolanders: What Do You Need to Run the ZooBC Node?

Our developer, Heriyono Sim, explains how ZooBC nodes can run on low-powered machines, and the tools we use to test giant networks of nodes.

In this video, we answer:
- What kind of device can be used for the ZooBC node, and how is it different from the conventional PoW node?
- Did we face any issues while setting up the nodes for the Alpha Release?
- What have we worked on in the past two weeks?

ZooBC Explained: How ZooBC Network Works

Network implementation in ZooBC is unique. Having a set of registered nodes in the registry, guarded by consensus, allows us to monitor the activity of the nodes as the participants of the network. It's also the part that allows the Proof of Participation consensus algorithm to become fairer to the participants of the network.

In this video, our developer, Ahmed Ali Abdilah, explains how the ZooBC network operates. He talks about:
- How does the ZooBC network work?
- Why does a node activity matter?
- What if the network didn't allocate the peers?

How Snapshot Works in ZooBC

Most blockchains require a new node to download the entire history of previous blocks before they can join the network. With database state snapshots fully secured by the ZooBC protocol, nodes can go from installation to participating in the network much faster. In this video, our co-founder and CTO, Barton Johnston, explains to you the following:
- How snapshot works in ZooBC
- How ZooBC aims to reduce the blockchain download time to a near constant.
