In tuning the Receipt Batch Size parameter, ‌the ZooBC team aim‌‌s to‌‌ maximize‌‌ the‌‌ number‌‌ of‌‌ receipts‌‌, which‌ ‌can‌‌ be‌‌ proven‌‌ by‌‌ any‌‌ given‌‌ Merkle‌‌ root,‌‌ while ‌minimizing‌ ‌the‌ ‌time‌ ‌between‌ ‌the ‌receipt‌‌ being‌ ‌collected‌ ‌and‌‌ being‌‌ proven‌‌ on‌‌ the‌‌ network.‌

Unlike Bitcoin's "unspent transaction output" (or UTXO) model, ZooBC uses an Account-based data model. This lets ZooBC manage more complex types of information about each user and support more advanced transaction types than just the transfer of tokens.
